First, I will say, that the pattern is beautiful. The picture here doesn't show that there is also an eagle's head in the design. It's stunning. However, I downloaded the qli version, and when you try to lessen the horizontal space between the rows, they do not nest together well. As shown above by the talons and the wings on the right. When you move them close together as shown, other parts of the pattern farther down the path (not shown in the picture above) are almost touching, and other portions have large gaps. You can't "nudge" your way out of it and you can't get the rows close enough to not see an obvious horizontal row. I guess there's a reason they don't show the whole stitch out pattern in their sample, because then no one would buy it. I played with it for quite some time and then I flipped every other row horizontally. Then the rows hugged together much better and I didn't have the very obvious spacing issue. However, that brought on a host of other issues. It did make this pattern a whole lot more work than it should have been. If I had known then what I know now, I would have picked another pattern. Again, beautiful artwork, just poorly executed. I'll give it 2 stars just because it looks good, but what a headache.
