Wind Water

Wind Water is a continuous line pattern that consist of two rows. Each row is 10" wide with a total width of 15 1/2" wide. The paper width is 17" wide, the paper length is 12' long. This is a fast, versatile design that is hand-drawn to look freehand quilted. It looks watery on ocean quilts, and windy on hot air balloon or kite quilts. The swirls are a large scale that distribute nicely, and this pattern looks especially good with batting of a higher loft. It requires both rows to form the interlock, enhancing the freehand look of the pattern. I use this pattern on kid quilts and charity quilts to add fun in a snap. The motif in this design repeats every 34 inches.
